Voice of the Physician
Physicians trust each other most, when considering something new they look to and depend on their peer’s experience. Broad mainstream adoption is driven by word of mouth “from physicians like me in practices like mine” Voice of the Physician evaluations develop proof points and a collective voice of what works in practice. It offers physicians considering adoption a practical program to evaluate solutions that is systematic, data-driven and peer to peer. If offers innovators and advocates an ongoing in practice evaluation informing their efforts.
Phyx's goal is use this methodology to help accelerate adoption to meet the urgent need for innovations that relieve burden and burnout and optimize the primary care. We are are not conducting initial research and development of the innovations, but rather evaluating the ongoing evolution and use of innovations in practice and their impact on the physicians, their practices and on primary care. We help innovation be physician-driven, avoiding saddling physicians with technology that is enterprise or profit driven. The methodology is designed to help "cross the chasm" to broad mainstream adoption by providing physicians with what they really want to know: proof of what really works "from physicians like them in practices like theirs"..
Adoption Accelerator
Our approach is to find physicians using innovations, evaluate their use of innovations and provide mainstream physicians with the proof points they need adopt themselves. We inform innovators of what works and what does not to help innovations to "cross the chasm" to mainstream adoption.
Evaluations
Phyx evaluations capture the in-practice experience of physicians in their voices using interviews and surveys to capture qualitative and quantitative primary care metrics and KPI’s. We target physicians across primary care settings ranging from employed physicians in enterprise health systems to solo docs in independent practice to provide all primary care physicians, residents and medical students with the information they need to consider adopting primary care innovations. Evaluations are conducted in three phases:
2
Proof of Adoption
Proven adoptable by100 physicians across US
3
Case Studies
Peer-based proof points in various settings representing primary care.
Primary Care Metrics
Innovations are evaluated on their impact on the physician and their care. Physician health is assessed on a set of "Primary Care Vital Signs". Specific burdens are assessed on time and satisfaction. Primary care is assessed on the 4C's of primary care and the Quintuple AIM.
Principles
Voice of the Physician is designed to best meet the needs of physicians by deeply engaging them throughout their innovation experience.
Physician Guides
Phyx develops guides for physicians to help them consider, evaluate and understand their innovation options.
Evaluators
Tools to help physician evaluate their specific product options and their readiness for adoption and success.
Explainers
Easy to understand explanations of how specific innovations work e.g. artificial intelligence work to
